Jeff Hall on how Life.Church Worship creates a thriving environment for their musicians and more than “just a gig"

As the associate central ministry leader of worship for Life.Church, Jeff Hall plays a big part in crafting the culture within the worship ministries at their 30+ different campuses—especially when it comes to the musicians in the band. So many church musicians have a story where they felt used or only valued for what the church could get out of them, but Life.Church musicians seem to thrive in their culture. In our conversation, we talk about how making the expectations clear paves the way for being able to minister to the musicians in the band.

One of the books Jeff mentions in the episode is called "Reality-Based Leadership” by Cy Wakeman.

Jeff also mentions the Craig Groeschel Leadership Podcast. This is one of my favorite podcasts personally and is filled with gold every month. You should subscribe to it.

The product of the month is Coresound Pads. They have dozens of pads in a variety of sounds that will easily make your band (or just you and your acoustic) sound more full. Their iOS app is what I think sets them apart and makes setting everything up a breeze. Here’s a link to their app where you can demo all the packs in the key of D.

You can buy bundles from their website and save 20 percent each time when you use the promo code “PRACTICAL.”

Life.Church just announced they’re opening two new campuses. One will be in Springfield, MO. The other will be in Rogers, AR. If you or someone you know is interesting in being a part of the worship team at these or any of their campuses, you can fill out the form at the bottom of this page:

Something we didn’t touch on during the episode but is a great resource for any worship or creative pastor is their Open Network church resources website. There's over 35,000 sermons, transcripts, kids lessons, worship songs, art and graphics, and the entire two-year Bible App for Kids Curriculum package available all for FREE.

Here’s the YouTube video mentioned at the end of this podcast episode: "Loneliness in a crowd filled with people."
